VISA REGULATIONS

LENGTH OF STAY
  • Depending on the visa date - it can be up to 5 years.

  • The residence status in the US is valid for the entire duration of the study and is noted on the I-20 form.

  • F-1 students in the US must depart the United States within 60 days after the program end date listed on Form I-20.

  • F-1 students may request an extension to their current school.

  • F1 students may enter in the US 30 days before the start date of their program.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED
  • CEL Application form

  • Personal Information - Home Address, Phone Number & Email

  • Copy of Passport

  • Proof of Financial Support - Bank Statements & Letter of Affidavit

CEL PROGRAM FOR F1 VISA
  • All courses with 24 or more lessons

        * Must maintain at least 85% attendance

APPLYING APROCESS

1. APPLY

Agency submit CEL application form and if possible,
a copy of student's passport and bank statement

Required information/documents to issue an I-20:
- Personal information: full name, D.O.B, Country of Birth, Country of Citizenship (if different), Gender
- Home Address
- E-mail
- Phone Number
- Passport
- Bank Statement
- Letter of Affidavit (if sponsored)

 
CEL will send a confirmation email and invoices for payment within 24 hours*

2. ACCEPTANCE

*Excluding weekends and holidays

3. I-20 DRAFT

CEL will send the Draft to the student's email and inform the agency that the draft was sent

* The Student and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP) released policy guidance titled, “Form I-20 Issuance and School Use of Recruiters,” stating designated school officials must issue the Form I-20, “Certificate of Eligibility for Nonimmigrant Student Status,” directly to F-1 students, their parent or legal guardian. At no time should the Form I-20 be issued to a third party.

Student will approve or request for correction*

4. DRAFT APPROVAL

* Corrections are only possible with student's email and
    phone number in SEVIS

CEL will send the original I-20 document to the student and inform the agency

5. I-20 ORIGINAL DOC

Student can finalize the visa process
- DS-160 Form
- Pay for the SEVIS fee
- Gather Required Documentation (Link)
- Attend the interview

6. VISA PROCESS

If student's visa is approved, pay for the remainder fees per CEL agreement and become a CEL student

7. PAY TUTION

  • Max 6 months. The length of their stay will be granted by US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) official. After they allow students to enter the US, the CBP official will provide an admission stamp and/or online Form-I-94, arrival and departure record.

  • 90 days (it can't be extended)

  • The ESTA authorization is generally valid for multiple trips over a period of two years (starting the date that it's approved) or until the passport expires, whichever comes first. As long as student received an ESTA authorization to travel, they do not have to reapply during the validity period.

  • 20 or 23 Lessons per week​

  • Max. 17.75 hours per week
